The materials for these necklaces are wire, platinum plated clasps (because we're worth it), astrophyllite tails (because mourning death and grief are now behind us), and rock quartz. Quartz is one of the most common minerals on earth, found most everywhere, not unlike mankind in its plentifulness. This particular quartz has been superheated and cooled to produce the fractures in the stones (this can occur naturally through volcanic activity), which then yields really splendid but highly volatile and unstable bits of stone. Despite that I went with it because mankind is also fragile, the procession of clarity is relevant also in that, the more we are in relationship to Christ the more we shine; we reflect His glory. The stones are also in such abundance on each piece, because a phrase that kept occurring to me was, "the weight of glory", and not without price, and despite all this, how much He loves us, and seeks us out and holds us dear.
HE IS RISEN.
